FAQs

Is there an age limit?

Ages 12+ are welcome. Children ages 12-14 require at least 1 adult to be a participant in the room with them. Keep in mind that the puzzles are designed to be challenging for adults and children may find the puzzles too difficult or frustrating to solve by themselves.

How much does it cost?

Games are $25 per person with a minimum ticket purchase requirement to book. Enchanted Kingdom and Lunar Lockdown each require a minimum of 3 people to book. A Study in Murder requires a minimum of 4 to book. All bookings are now private so it will only be your friends and family in the room with you!

How many people can play at the same time?

Lunar Lockdown and Enchanted Kingdom are for 3-6 players. A Study in Murder is for 4-8 players.

What if there are only 2 of us? Can we still play?

The participant numbers are set based on the room difficulty and the types of puzzles - they're in place to ensure the best possible experience for groups. If you'd like to play with just 2 players, just book the minimum number of tickets and show up with 2 people. The minimum ticket purchase is 3 for Lunar Lockdown and Enchanted Kingdom, 4 for A Study in Murder. We offer exclusively private bookings, which means it will only be your group in the room and no strangers will be allowed to purchase tickets for that game. The minimum ticket purchases help offset our operation costs and still enable us to offer all private bookings.

How do I book a game?

To see the most up-to-date availability for Thursday nights, Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays, click here for our booking website website. If you'd like to book a game during a time outside our general operating hours, please send us an email at info@bullcityescape.com with your preferred dates, times, and games.

Do we need to make a reservation in advance?

Yes, reservations are strongly recommended. To make a reservation for Thurs-Sun, click here to visit our Book Now page. Walk-ins are not encouraged as we might not be able to accommodate you.

What is your cancellation / refund / rescheduling policy?

Treat your escape room ticket like a movie or concert ticket. All sales are final and refunds will not be issued for cancellations or no-shows. If you need to reschedule your game, you can do so with at least 24 hours notice. Just click the "View/change booking" button in your confirmation email to select a different game time.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your game time. This time will be used to get your team checked in, let everyone go to the bathroom, and cover our pre-game intro. If you're late, your time may be cut short because of a group coming in after you or you may not be able to play at all. There are no refunds for cancellations due to latecomers. Please do not be late!

What should I bring with me?

All the wits, reasoning, and sleuthing skills you can muster! Leave the bolt cutters at home. You won't need any prior knowledge, skills, trivia, etc. The answers to the clues and puzzles are all in the room, but it's up to you to find them!

Am I really going to be locked in a room? That sounds terrifying.

It's not a scary experience at all! Players can let themselves out if they need to take a break or use the restroom.

What happens if I can't escape in an hour?

Don't worry, we'll still let you out (turns out kidnapping is bad for repeat business). Solving the puzzles will be much more satisfying though!

What do I get if I escape in time?

Eternal glory. Full bragging rights. More importantly, a really fun hour of entertainment (though, to be fair, the people who don't escape will get this, too!)

Can I take pictures or videos?

Nope, sorry. Photos and videos aren't allowed inside the game rooms so we can keep the clues and puzzles secret for future players. We're happy to take a group photo in our lobby afterwards!

Can I bring a drink into the room?

Please save the drinks for after the game! Alcohol is not allowed in the room. In fact, players who appear to be under the influence will be turned away and no refund will be given. This is for the safety of staff, property, and guests.
